AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT LIQUID CONTROLS

Am I Next? Liquid Controls consolidation.

Lake Bluff, Illinois-based Liquid Controls, a major supplier of liquid measuring and control systems, has announced a reorganization that will result in the closure of its Lake Bluff manufacturing facility. The closure will impact 87 employees commencing May 24, 2021 and be completed by the end of 2021. An office for sales and support of the company's products will remain in Lake Bluff.

According to a company spokesperson, the company plans to consolidate Liquid Controls LLC and another parent company IDEX subsidiary, Oklahoma City-based Corken Inc., and operate together under the name Advance Flow Solutions in Oklahoma City.

The President of Liquid Control and Corken, Art Laszlo, noted that the decision to consolidate the company's operations into an existing Corken facility in Oklahoma City was the result of "significant long-term changes in the energy and transportation sectors."

Allegedly, according to an anonymous employee, "A large portion of the manufacturing business is being outsourced to India and Italy. And to make things worse, they have brought people for Oklahoma here for us to train to do our jobs."
