Tampa, Florida-based TrueCore Behavioral Solutions, a national provider of behavioral health services to at-risk and adjudicated youth through residential treatment facilities and community-based programs, has announced that the company will be permanently closing two facilities located in Hastings, Florida. The layoffs will impact 102 employees commencing June 6, 2021.
The company appears to have assumed the ten-year (2011 - 2021)Florida Department of Juvenile Justice R2104 contract from a troubled provider known as G4S Youth Services in July, 2017. It appears that the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice Contract Status Report for March 2021 indicates that the contract covering Truecore services at the Hastings location will expire on July 31, 2021 and the company has not announced a contract renewal.
