Auburndale, Florida-based Cutrale Citrus Juices USA, a subsidiary of the Brazilian company Sucocitrico Cutrale, is the largest orange juice processor in the United States, has announced the closure of its orange juice production facility in Leesburg, Florida.

The closure will impact 117 employees in two phases between July 31, 2024 and October 31, 2024.

The decision was driven by the actions of a “primary business partner who has decided to move packing operations from the Leesburg facility to their own facilities.”

Weston, Florida-based Bang Energy, a maker of energy drinks, has announced a pre-sale reduction in force as it prepares to sell the company to Corona, California-based Monster Beverage Corp, a unit of Coca-Cola.

The reduction in force will impact 463 employees in Weston, Florida, between September 3, 2023 and September 10, 2023.

According to a company spokesperson, “As many of you may already be aware, Bang Energy has recently been acquired by another company, which marks the end of my journey with this remarkable organization.”

The brand owner, Vital Pharmaceuticals, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protections in October 2022.

Indianapolis, Indiana-based Monarch Beverage,Indiana's largest distributor of beer and wine, has announced that the company will be laying off 633 employees commencing in December, 2020. The decision was driven by the company's acquisition by Rosemont, Illinois-based Reyes Beer Division. the largest beer distributor in the United States.

“Monarch Beverage Company has been family-owned and locally operated since 1947, and the team has serviced our customers and communities with pride over the past 73 years,” said Monarch’s Chief Executive Officer Phil Terry. “This acquisition represents the coming together of two great long-standing family-owned businesses. Reyes Beer Division is a proven industry leader, and we are confident that they will be a great distributor for the state of Indiana and lead the business to further success.”
