Norwalk, Connecticut-based Priceline.com, an online travel agency for finding discount rates for travel-related purchases such as airline tickets and hotel stays, has announced that it has laid off 7% of its workforce.
A company spokesperson noted, "We continue to innovate and transform our business to deliver great travel experiences for our customers and partners. As part of that, we must align our resource allocation to best prioritize strategic initiatives. While this change unfortunately resulted in the elimination of some roles, it also allows us to invest in key areas for growth."
Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future.
