Los Angeles, California-based Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, the iconic manufacturer of stringed instruments, amplifiers, and accessories, appears to be reacting to market forces by reducing the company's workforce.
According to published reports, the company has eliminated the “entire afternoon shift” of Fender’s Corona, California factory. including the plant manager and assistant manager, and a number of quality control team members. Approximately 300 employees were impacted.
