AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT IQVIA

Am I Next? IQVIA: contract loss leads to layoffs.

Durham, North Carolina-based IQVIA, a provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions, and clinical research services to the life sciences industry, has announced its plan to reduce its employee headcount associated with its Durham headquarters by 232 employees. Those impacted are primarily operations specialist positions, including project directors, managers, and employees described as "remote/outstation employees" who may report to or receive assignments from the Durham office. The layoffs are scheduled for October 10, 2021.

The decision appears to be driven by the end of "operations in the U.S. in certain business units associated with a particular customer contract.”

According to a company spokesperson, “Occasionally, we need to realign our resources to support our clients’ changing needs. As part of that realignment, Iqvia's organization will be undergoing a modest restructuring."

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening.
