AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT YODLE

Am I Next? Mass layoffs at Yodle’s Austin, Texas office.

New York, New York-based Yodle, Inc., the online marketing subsidiary of internet services company Web.com has announced a major reduction in force in its Austin, Texas office which will affect approximately 155 employees. It is believed that the decision was driven by the demands of the private equity firm, an affiliate of Siris Capital Group LLC, that acquired Web.com last year for $2.24 billion.

According to a Web.com spokesperson, “In early February we made the difficult but necessary decision to eliminate some positions. This was part of a broader process to rebalance our organization by eliminating some positions that became unnecessary due to reorganization and process changes. We offered those individuals assistance in many forms during their transition period, and we thank them for their service. Our priority was to handle last month's event with the care and respect it deserved and then quickly get back to serving our customers and each other. We intend to keep our Austin office operational for our employees."

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life, or promises for a bright future. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere ... are you now wondering, Am I Next?
