Am I Next? Layoffs at Precision Castparts — Business Downturn.

Portland, Oregon-based Precision Castparts, a manufacturer of high-tech aerospace, defense, and industrial castings and forged parts owned by Berkshire Hathaway, has announced 717 layoffs at two Portland, Oregon facilities.

The decision was driven by the downturn in the aviation and turbine-driven energy industry and Boeing's suspension of aircraft production.

Prior to the layoffs, a company spokesperson noted, "As the impact of the crisis and other macroeconomic factors have weighed on our nation, many of our customers have or intend to curtail or reduce their production for a period of time. Due to the resulting order reductions, we are announcing a temporary shutdown of our operations over the coming weeks to align our production with our customers’ needs.

AM I NEXT? IS THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL AT 7-SIGMA?

Am I Next? Minneapolis manufacturing leaving city after rioters destroy factory.

Minneapolis, Minnesota-based 7-SIGMA, a designer, manufacturer, and supplier of high-performance polymer plastic and metal components and assemblies for the printing, medical, aerospace, and industrial markets, has announced that the company is abandoning their Minneapolis facility after seeing it burned to the ground during the recent "protests." Approximately 50 jobs will be permanently lost.

7-Sigma President Kris Wyrobek, the president and owner of 7-Sigma Inc., noted “They didn’t protect our people. We were all on our own,” referring to Minneapolis city officials, "The fire engine was just sitting there, but they wouldn’t do anything.”

This is a warning to rioters, arsonists, and looters about destroying your own community — and to elected officials who are more interested in virtue signaling rather than protecting people and property.
