Global electronics manufacturer, Canada-based Creation Technologies, is closing its facility in Milpitas, California and laying off approximately 177 workers.
Creation is well-known for providing design, manufacturing, assembly, and logistics services to companies wishing to outsource to a one-stop shop. It is not known whether or not this plant closing is related to the loss of a major customer or transitioning to low-cost labor operations in China, Mexico, and elsewhere. The Milpitas facility is less than six years old and underwent extensive remodeling to meet the stringent requirements of today’s electronics.
