Lisle, Illinois-based CTS, a designer and manufacturer of sensors, actuators and electronic components for the aerospace, communications, defense, medical and transportation industries, has announced that CTS Electronic Components will be laying off 72 employees, including 66 machine positions and 6 supporting positions, in Albuquerque, New Mexico and offshore some operations to Nogales, Mexico.
According to a company spokesperson, "The relocation of the manufacturing line was a business decision. The line produces electrical components used by the U.S. Department of Defense, and the company is unable to disclose further details about those components."
Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
