Herzogenaurach, Germany-based Adidas, the German multinational designer and manufacturer of shoes, clothing, and accessories, did not deny and has refused comment on the rumor that Adidas will sell their Boston, Massachusetts-based Reebok subsidiary which apparently has not met their financial goals.
The impetus for the push to separate Reebok seems to originate with a Reebok team who are aiming for a second-quarter 2021 target. Potential buyers may include the Denver, Colorado-based VF Corporation whose brand portfolio includes Timberland, Vans, and The North Face. Also mentioned is Xiamen, China-based Anta Sports whose portfolio includes ANTA, ANTA KIDS, FILA, FILA KIDS, and NBA.
