Sekisui Aerospace, a Seattle, Washington-based subsidiary of Japan’s Sekisui Chemical that makes advanced plastic and fiber composite parts for the aerospace industry, has filed a WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) with the State of Washington indicating the company is permanently laying off 111 employees in Renton and Sumner, Washington.
The decision was driven by the global downturn in the aerospace industry, including the company's largest customers such as Boeing and Airbus.
A competitor,Toray Composite Materials America, is also permanently laying off 146 employees for the same reasons.

Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
