JULY 22, 2021 — WENTZVILLE, MISSOURI PLANT IDLED, 42 LAYOFFS
The company has announced that its Wentzville, Missouri facility will be idled indefinitely. 42 employees will be impacted by the layoff commencing September 14, 2021.
The decision was "as a result of the unforeseeable, dramatic downturn in business caused by the coronavirus natural disaster, and specifically decreased sales revenue caused by the downturn in the aerospace industry."

Warrensville Heights, Ohio-based Titanium Metals Corporation (TIMET), a major supplier and fabricator of titanium products, has notified the State of Nevada about the layoff of 192 employees at the company's Henderson, Nevada titanium sponge facility.
According to a company statement, "As a result of the unforeseeable, dramatic downturn in business caused by the coronavirus natural disaster, and specifically TIMET-Henderson has seen a decrease in sales by 80%, we are writing to inform you that there will be a mass layoff at the TIMET Henderson facility located at 181 N. Water Street in Henderson, Nevada beginning the week of July 27th, 2020 due to the intention to idle our Sponge Plant indefinitely."
"We were unable to provide more notice of this action because these circumstances were not reasonably foreseeable until recently when the full impact of COVID-19 became clear. We are providing as much notice as is practicable under the circumstances and given the rapid pace at which this situation has developed. This mass layoff is expected to be indefinite."
