Ulm, Germany-based Wieland Group, a manufacturer of semi-finished copper tubing and other copper-related products, has announced a reduction in force of 120 employees at the company's 560,000 square-foot manufacturing plant located in Pine Hall, North Carolina. The layoffs will commence on October 2, 2020.
The Wieland Pine Hall operation produces "straight copper tubes and copper tubes in coils which are then processed into smooth-bore and inner-groove tubes. The entire manufacturing process runs at one location, from the procurement of copper cathodes and recycled copper to the manufacture of the highest quality copper tubes on the market."
"Thanks to two unique manufacturing processes on modern production facilities and two separate casting processes, the entire manufacturing process runs at one location, from the procurement of copper cathodes and recycled copper to the manufacture of the highest quality copper tubes on the market."
Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
