Delray Beach, Florida-based Tennier Industries, a leading manufacturer of military-grade clothing, survival gear for mission-critical environments, has announced layoffs at two of its Tennesee facilities.
The company will be permanently closing its Waynesboro, Tennessee plant and laying off 66 employees on December 16, 2021.
This follows the layoff of 85 employees located in Huntsville, Tennessee that were laid off on October 14, 2021.
Like all military equipment suppliers, the withdrawal from Afghanistan is impacting replenishment orders and disruptions in supply chains is putting pressure on the shipment and receipt of raw materials from overseas sources.
