Kirkland, Washington-based Kenworth Trucks, a manufacturer of medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, has announced a major reduction in force at the company's assembly facility located in Chillicothe, Ohio.
The reduction in force will impact 350 employees and is targeted towards employees hired since April 2020. Layoffs are planned to commence on September 10, 2021.
The company has built and staged a number of trucks that sit parked and waiting for completion parts such as hard-to-obtain microchips for on-board controllers and computers.
