Plymouth, Minnesota-based Turck, a subsidiary of the German manufacturer specializing in components used in industrial automation and controls, has announced a reduction in force.
The reduction will impact 134 employees at the company's Plymouth, Minnesota manufacturing facility. Layoffs are scheduled for January 6, 2023.
According to a spokesperson, "We informed our employees of a reduction in our workforce due to our ongoing efforts to maintain our competitive position within our markets. The workforce elimination focuses on production and support services employees, including those in engineering, as Turck’s production of connectivity components, like cables and wiring consolidation parts, will be relocated to its facilities in Mexico."
Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
