Germany-based Lidl, a discount grocery supermarket retail chain, has announced a corporate restructuring in its U.S. operation that will lead to a reduction in its administrative workforce.
The reduction in force will impact approximately 200 employees located at the company's U.S. headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
A company spokesperson noted, “While we remain committed to the long-term success of Lidl US and look forward to continuing our expansion along the East Coast, we are continually evaluating our operations to ensure we are supporting our stores effectively. The job cuts do not impact store employees We are grateful for the contributions of our team members, both those impacted and those remaining.” .
Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
