Hattiesburg, Mississippi-based Channel Control Merchants, the parent company of Dirt Cheap, operator of a retail chain of 68 “extreme value” stores specializing in overstock and surplus goods across the Southeast United States, has announced the company's closure after filing for bankruptcy.
The closure may impact more than 1,000 employees, including corporate, store, and distribution center workers.

No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. While many employees can read the writing on the wall, why do most assume it’s targeted at someone else? Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
