Williamsburg, Iowa-based Kinze Manufacturing, a manufacturer of farm and agricultural equipment, including row-crop planters, dual auger grain carts, and high-speed tillage equipment, has announced a reduction in force at its Williamsburg facility.
The personnel reduction will impact 193 employees.
According to a company statement, "Kinze will be implementing a reduction in its workforce in response to the ongoing economic downturn in the agricultural sector. The reduction affects 193 of Kinze’s 815 employees in Williamsburg, Iowa. No other reductions are planned at this time. We deeply regret the necessity of this action. This decision was not made lightly, and it is a direct response to current ag market realities.”
Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. While many employees can read the writing on the wall; why do most assume it’s targeted at someone else? Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
