Carol Stream, Illinois-based OSG (Output Services Group), a provider of customer communications management (CCM) solutions and services, has announced the closure of its Birmingham, Alabama facility.

The closure will impact 135 employees.

Operations will be transferred to newer, state-of-the-art facilities in Carol Stream, Illinois, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Mount Airy, North Carolina that are equipped with advanced technology and infrastructure, enabling enhanced operational performance, expanded capabilities, and a superior customer experience.

According to a company statement, “OSG remains financially stable and fully committed to investing in our facilities, employees, and the communities we serve. This decision reinforces our dedication to innovation, efficiency, and delivering best-in-class solutions to our clients.”

The company has confirmed its second round of layoffs that will impact 4% of its workforce.

The reduction in force will impact approximately 120 employees.

According to a company statement, “As part of our ongoing efforts to align our business with strategic priorities, we recently made the difficult but necessary decision to restructure certain areas of our organization. This decision was not made lightly, and we extend our gratitude to all impacted employees for their contributions and dedication during their time at Five9. We are proactively working to support those affected during this transition and remain focused on our long-term vision and the continued success of our employees, customers, partners, and stakeholders.

This action was believed to be driven by an activist investor demanding increased performance.

San Ramon, California-based Five9, operator of a cloud-based customer engagement/call center, has announced a 7% reduction in its workforce.

The reduction in force will impact approximately 188 employees.

Allen Park, Michigan-based Percepta, a business process outsourcer offering contact and customer engagement experiences to all industries and verticals, has announced a reduction in force at its Melbourne, Florida office.

The reduction will impact 98 employees performing regional sales and support duties. Layoffs are expected to commence on March 29, 2024.
