DECEMBER 18, 2024 — 650 EMPLOYEES IN AUSTIN, TEXAS
The company will lay off 650 employees in its two Austin, Texas, offices by February 2025 as the Texas Department of Transportation transfers Texas toll tag operations to the Harris County Toll Road Authority.
According to a company spokesperson, "At TTEC, the well-being of our employees is always our top priority, and we understand the impact that workforce changes can have on individuals and their families. TxDOT's recent decision to transition its tolling operations to another service provider triggered the need for this reduction in force announcement. While providing the notice to employees, we are also working diligently to find other employment opportunities for impacted employees within the company and with TxDOT’s new tolling partner, where possible. We value our employees’ contributions and are committed to offering support during this time."

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. Just because something bad hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
