Miami, Florida-based Perry Ellis International, an omni-channel designer, distributor and licensor of a broad line of high quality men's and women's apparel, accessories and fragrances, has announced that it will be closing its Tampa, Florida distribution center on Juky 1, 2021. The closure will impact 114 employees, including various manaegment, IT, warehouse workers, and support personnel. A co-located retail store would remain open.
While no reason for the closure was given, it is assumed that the decision was driven by economic conditions and the fall-off of men's and women's business apparel.
