Parsippany, New Jersey-based Embecta, a medical technology company that develops and provides products and solutions for people with diabetes, has announced discontinuing its insulin patch pump program.
The personnel realignment will impact 118 employees in Andover, Massachusetts, between February 3, 2025, and August 1, 2025.
A company spokesperson noted, “Making decisions that impact our employees is never easy and is always done with careful consideration and respect, as we value all our team members’ contributions to Embecta. We will provide severance, healthcare benefits, and outplacement assistance to help our colleagues find their next opportunity. As noted in our earnings release, we expect the restructuring plan to be substantially complete during the first half of FY25.”
Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something terrible hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. While many employees can read the writing on the wall, why do most assume it’s targeted at someone else? Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
