AM I NEXT? NO LOVE AT INGRAM MICRO

Irvine, California-based Ingram Micro Holding Corporation, a distributor of information technology products and services, has announced a restructuring initiative along with a reduction in force to reduce costs and eliminate redundancies.

The reduction in force will impact 850 employees.

CEO Paul Bay noted, “We are committed to supporting affected associates through this transition and will provide more details regarding these benefits and payments through our local teams in the coming weeks. We understand that this news is difficult, and we want to acknowledge the valuable contributions of those who will be leaving Ingram Micro. These decisions are never easy, but they are necessary to position our organization for future success.”

Change is coming. There will always be a tomorrow, no matter how much you may try to ignore it. There are no guarantees in life or promises for a bright future. We see good people being laid off through no fault of their own. Just because something terrible hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one is guaranteed to wake up tomorrow and still have a job by evening. While many employees can read the writing on the wall, why do most assume it’s targeted at someone else? Are you now wondering, Am I Next?
