Paris, France-based Sodexo, a multinational professional services management vendor that provides food, housekeeping, and equipment maintenance services, has announced that the company's contracts with Rockledge, Florida-based Health First, a community healthcare system, at four hospitals: Homes Regional Medical Center, Cape Canaveral Hospital, Palm Bay Hospital, and Viera Hospital.
The contract loss will affect 407 employees at the for hospitals in late August 2021. Contractual food and janitorial services will now be provided by Wayne, Pennsylvania-based Compass One Healthcare commencing September 1, 2021.
According to a company spokesperson, "Sodexo has enjoyed more than eight years as the food service and environmental services provider for Health First and we look forward to continuing as the healthcare technology management provider."
